Over 800 WhiteHat Jr staff have resigned from the children online coding studying edtech start-up within the last two months after being asked to work from office.

This comes after WhiteHat Jr, a platform which was acquired by BYJU’S in 2020, requested its workers to return to office within a month’s time, based on an Inc42 report.

On March 18, the company announced the coverage to end do business from home and asked distant workers to return to office by April 18.

The resignations got here from full-time workers of the gross sales, coding, and math groups. More staff are anticipated to place down their papers within the coming months.

One of the workers who resigned told the website that a month’s time was not sufficient for relocation. “Some have children, some have aged and sick parents, while others have other duties. It is not proper to call back staff in such a brief period of time,” the former WhiteHat Jr worker stated.

Another worker stated salaries also factored within the determination to not return to the office. At the time of hiring, staff were advised about their job location – WhiteHat Jr has places of work in Gurugram, Mumbai and Bengaluru.
