The family of an 11-year-old lady who survived the massacre at Robb Elementary Faculty in Uvalde, Texas, on Tuesday says the 4th grader played dead after the gunman entered her classroom.

Miah Cerrillo's aunt and godmother stated the 4th grader is struggling to manage and telling them what she witnessed throughout the shooting.

"Round midnight my sister-in-law referred to as me and she or he was just crying, like 'I feel it just hit Miah. I feel all the pieces came to reality now,'" said Blanca Rivera.

Rivera said Miah's trainer, Irma Garcia, was one of many two academics killed. Her buddies and classmates had been also targeted.

Rivera stated that's when Miah went into survival mode.

"Miah obtained some blood and put it on herself so she might faux she was useless," mentioned Rivera. Miah was injured but taken to the hospital and has been released.
