A woman visiting Yellowstone Nationwide Park was gored by a bison and tossed into the air, park officials stated Tuesday.
The 25-year-old woman, who was visiting from Ohio, was not identified in a news launch from the park.
The lady approached the female bison Monday morning after it got here close to a boardwalk at Black Sand Basin, near Previous Faithful geyser, the park said.

Fuller / VWPics through AP Images filePark rules require visitors to stay more than 25 yards from the animals, the biggest mammals in North America, that are unpredictable, can prime speeds of 35 mph and may soar several toes.
An estimated 2,300 to 5,500 bison reside at the park, and so they have injured more folks than any other animal, the park mentioned.
When the visitor got here inside 10 feet of the animal, the bison impaled her and "tossed" her 10 feet within the air, the park said.
The woman had puncture wounds and different injuries and was taken to a hospital in Idaho, the service said. Her situation was unknown Tuesday.
Two different folks have been also close to the animal when it gored the girl, the park stated. The discharge didn’t say in the event that they have been injured.
The park warned people to stay 25 yards from bison, elk, bighorn sheep and moose and no less than 100 yards from bears and wolves.
