Federal brokers entered Uvalde college to kill gunman regardless of local police initially asking them to attend

Federal brokers who went to Robb Elementary College in Uvalde, Texas, on Tuesday to confront a gunman who killed 19 children have been told by native police to wait and not enter the school — after which decided after about half an hour to disregard that initial steering and find the shooter, say two senior federal law enforcement officials.
