TAMPA, Fla. — A Florida man has been sentenced to life in jail for traveling to Vietnam to sexually abuse minors he met on-line, in line with officials.

The U.S. Department of Justice says Christopher Edwin Day, 52, traveled two completely different occasions in 2015 and 2016 to Vietnam from Florida to have sexual encounters with minor Vietnamese boys. Court records say he flew backwards and forwards disguising himself as an English trainer.

A few of the boys, based on the DOJ, had been lured with promises of money and items. Others introduced him as their English trainer.

The Tampa Bay Information says Homeland Safety investigated the case in Tampa and in Ho Chi Minh Metropolis. It was part of Challenge Secure Childhood, which was an effort to find baby intercourse abuse began in 2006 by the DOJ.
