SACRAMENTO, Calif. >> A suspect on the run since a mass capturing left six individuals dead during an alleged gang dispute in California’s capital metropolis last month has been arrested in Las Vegas, authorities mentioned.

Investigators consider Mtula Payton was one of the alleged gang members who opened fire in downtown Sacramento on April 3. He was taken into custody at an apartment advanced, the Sacramento Police Division said in a press release Saturday evening.

“Las Vegas Metro Police Department worked with our detectives for weeks in an effort to find Payton,” the assertion stated.

It wasn’t identified Sunday if Payton has an legal professional who may speak on his behalf.

Payton and two others, brothers Smiley Martin and Dandrae Martin, had been charged this month with homicide within the slayings, as well as weapons offenses.
