BARNSTEAD, N.H. -- A person was arrested Friday after multiple signs saying "school shooter" were found in Barnstead, Epsom, and Pittsfield, New Hampshire, the state's Department of Security announced. Guy Hanson, 61, of Pittsfield, faces multiple expenses.

An increased quantity of law enforcement officials had been positioned at faculties within the communities as a result of the signs. Multiple faculties initiated lockdowns as a precaution shortly after.

Hanson allegedly placed the signs around the communities, the Department of Security said, but they determined there is no credible risk at the moment.

One such sign was written on a paper plate. The security division launched a photograph of the plate but blurred part of it "to protect the integrity of the investigation." 

Hanson was arrested on a felony cost of felony threatening and three misdemeanor costs including false report back to regulation enforcement, false public alarm and criminal threatening. He's being held in Merrimack County Jail pending a listening to scheduled for Tuesday.

No other suspects have been charged right now.
