BARNSTEAD, N.H. -- A person was arrested Friday after a number of indicators saying "faculty shooter" were present in Barnstead, Epsom, and Pittsfield, New Hampshire, the state's Department of Security introduced. Guy Hanson, 61, of Pittsfield, faces multiple costs.

An elevated amount of law enforcement officials were placed at colleges within the communities on account of the indicators. A number of schools initiated lockdowns as a precaution shortly after.

Hanson allegedly placed the indicators around the communities, the Department of Security mentioned, however they determined there isn't any credible risk at the moment.

One such sign was written on a paper plate. The safety division released a photo of the plate but blurred a part of it "to protect the integrity of the investigation." 

Hanson was arrested on a felony cost of criminal threatening and three misdemeanor costs including false report back to regulation enforcement, false public alarm and criminal threatening. He's being held in Merrimack County Jail pending a hearing scheduled for Tuesday.

No other suspects have been charged presently.
