Man arrested in reference to “college shooter” signs present in 3 New Hampshire communities

BARNSTEAD, N.H. -- A person was arrested Friday after a number of signs saying "school shooter" had been found in Barnstead, Epsom, and Pittsfield, New Hampshire, the state's Division of Safety introduced. Guy Hanson, 61, of Pittsfield, faces multiple prices. 

An elevated amount of police officers were positioned at faculties within the communities because of the indicators. Multiple colleges initiated lockdowns as a precaution shortly after.

Hanson allegedly positioned the signs across the communities, the Division of Safety mentioned, however they decided there is no credible menace at the moment.

One such signal was written on a paper plate. The security division released a photograph of the plate but blurred a part of it "to guard the integrity of the investigation." 

Hanson was arrested on a felony cost of prison threatening and three misdemeanor expenses including false report to law enforcement, false public alarm and felony threatening. He's being held in Merrimack County Jail pending a listening to scheduled for Tuesday.

No other suspects have been charged right now.
