Teen arrested after mom noticed son had gun at Texas school drop-off

LUBBOCK, Texas (KCBD/Gray News) - A number of businesses responded to a middle faculty in Texas Friday morning after a teenager’s mom seen he was carrying a gun.
Police in Lubbock tell KCBD a mother was dropping off her 15-year-old son at O.L. Slaton Center Faculty around 9 a.m. when she seen the firearm. The teenager by no means made it inside the building, and he ran from the school.
The Lubbock Police Department responded to the realm along with several different businesses in an try to seek out him.
The teen was found close to the college’s campus and brought into custody.
Authorities stated the 15-year-old could be dealing with a felony weapons cost.
Police say there was no risk made to the school or anyone inside the college.
O.L. Slaton Center Faculty was briefly positioned on lockout because of the incident.
