Uvalde police, faculty district no longer cooperating with Texas probe of capturing: Sources

The Uvalde Police Department and the Uvalde Independent School District police power are now not cooperating with the Texas Department of Public Security's investigation into the bloodbath at Robb Elementary School and the state's overview of the legislation enforcement response, multiple law enforcement sources inform ABC Information.

The Uvalde police chief and a spokesperson for the Uvalde Independent College District didn't instantly respond to requests for comment from ABC Information.

Based on sources, the decision to cease cooperating occurred soon after the director of DPS, Col. Steven McCraw, held a information convention Friday during which he stated the delayed police entry into the classroom was "the fallacious resolution" and contrary to protocol.

Reached by ABC News, a spokesperson for the Texas Division of Public Security stated, "The Uvalde Police Division and Uvalde CISD Police have been cooperating with investigators.
