The household of an 11-year-old woman who survived the massacre at Robb Elementary College in Uvalde, Texas, on Tuesday says the 4th grader performed dead after the gunman entered her classroom.

Miah Cerrillo's aunt and godmother mentioned the 4th grader is struggling to manage and telling them what she witnessed during the shooting.

"Around midnight my sister-in-law called me and she or he was simply crying, like 'I feel it simply hit Miah. I believe the whole lot got here to reality now,'" stated Blanca Rivera.

Rivera said Miah's instructor, Irma Garcia, was one of many two academics killed. Her friends and classmates had been also targeted.

Rivera stated that's when Miah went into survival mode.
