A fifth grade scholar in Florida was arrested over the weekend and charged with sending a text message threatening to hold out a mass taking pictures, authorities said.

In a press release Saturday, the Lee County Sheriff’s Office mentioned it had realized earlier that day of a "threatening text message" sent by a student at an elementary college.

It said its native faculty threat enforcement crew was instantly notified and started investigating. The 10-year-old boy was interviewed and charged later with "making a written risk to conduct a mass taking pictures," the sheriff's office said.

In video shared by authorities, the boy may be seen being led into a police vehicle.

“This pupil’s conduct is sickening, especially after the latest tragedy in Uvalde, Texas,” Lee County Sheriff Carmine Marceno said in a statement, noting that the threat came simply days after the deadly college capturing at Robb Elementary School left 19 students and two academics dead.

“Right now just isn't the time to act like a little delinquent. It’s not humorous,” he stated. “This baby made a pretend threat, and now he’s experiencing real penalties.”

Marceno mentioned his crew “didn’t hesitate one second...NOT ONE SECOND,” to analyze the incident.

The comment came as authorities in Uvalde face mounting criticism over their response to the Might 24 school taking pictures after it came to mild that they waited roughly an hour for backup as a substitute of instantly moving in on the gunman.
