Bison gores Yellowstone visitor, tosses her 10 toes, park officials say

A girl visiting Yellowstone National Park was gored by a bison and tossed into the air, park officers stated Tuesday.

The 25-year-old woman, who was visiting from Ohio, was not identified in a news release from the park.

The woman approached the feminine bison Monday morning after it got here near a boardwalk at Black Sand Basin, near Previous Devoted geyser, the park said.

Park rules require guests to remain more than 25 yards from the animals, the largest mammals in North America, that are unpredictable, can top speeds of 35 mph and might jump several ft.

An estimated 2,300 to 5,500 bison dwell at the park, and they have injured extra folks than every other animal, the park stated.

When the customer got here inside 10 toes of the animal, the bison impaled her and "tossed" her 10 toes in the air, the park said.

The lady had puncture wounds and different injuries and was taken to a hospital in Idaho, the service mentioned. Her situation was unknown Tuesday.
